photographer's block...

ahhh it seems to be a strange period now. I have lived in a new place for more than a month now and I feel very good here. The transition between the old place and the new place was pretty seamless and now everything is just going fine. Now I need less time to get to work and I have it closer to Hop Island where I go horse riding. I have it easier to do some quick shopping on the way back too. To get to my college takes more time now though and I take a car to get there (before I would walk) and then it is so hard to find a parking space in the city. I must think of some solutions before my next classes (this Thursday) but it will be grand soon. On the whole it is good but it has gotten a bit of a routine too. It is not to say that routine is bad; some things need to be well organised and running smoothly. Still no day is the same and I move forward every day and it is nice to feel I am not stuck in a rut, as the saying goes.

I have noticed a bit of a photographer's block recently but hopefully it will pass... along with some kind of a writer's block too!

The move was SEAMLESS ... are you kidding me? I seem to remember, everything was one big huge rush ... and there was so much stuff, like I've never seen before in my life. Maybe you are suffering from memory loss, as well as writers block and photographer's block ;)
Though,I must say that i think it has been well worth the move in the long run.

yes, my dear M ... there were so many things to move in the big rush because of the evening flight that some of my hairs must have gone grey that day ... and the garda stopping at my car was way too much. good he was nice enough to let me go. maybe i suffer from memory or maybe i just want to forget that day except for the nice moments we had.
and yes, the move has been worth it.
Thank you Laurie for the comment. I took it while standing in the door of my new place. The moon looked fantastic but it may not be so obvious when you look at the photo. it is hard to take a good one of a full moon.

About the best way to take the moon ... well because of limited light, the first thing I would do is to place the camera down on a solid surface, and use the timer to take the photo. At least then you will not have any shake in the picture (A dark night will mean a long exposure. No matter how steady you think your hand is).

thank you M. i will try this next time i take a picture at night. usually i have time only after sunset to take photos. i wonder also when i will have time to read more of the camera instruction booklet.
